Bertha Carter
Bertha Louise “Sally” Carter, 74, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at her residence.
She was a long-time member of Jackson Temple C.O.G.I.C., Word Center C.O.G.I.C., and New Holy Temple Cathedral C.O.G.I.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Carter; mother, Ella Mae Kellogg Carter; grandson, Cameron Martin; and brother, Willie Moore.
Survivors include her daughters, Carmen Martin, Lisa Martin (William McCoy), both of Chattanooga, and Tracey Martin of Dallas, TX; son, Charles (Keesha) Martin of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren, Crystal Parks, Devan Freeman, Nandia (Devon) Bowman, Andre’ Duncan, AJ Duncan, Justice Taylor, Adrianne Duncan, and Peyton Martin; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Christine Williams, Patricia Jones, both of Chattanooga, and Sarah Jones of Town Creek; dear friends, Sheila Bragg, Theresa Russell, and Susie Douglas; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Friday, Oct. 19, from 6-7 p.m. at New Holy Temple Cathedral Church of God in Christ.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at the church with Elder William Elston as the eulogist, Bishop James M. Scott, Sr., Pastor.
Entombment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
