East Hamilton, Signal Mountain Advances In Region Soccer

East Hamilton took a 4-0 lead over Hixson by the end of the first half and went on to a 5-0 win over the Lady Wildcats in the Class AA region semifinal at East Hamilton.  

Gabby Larson had three goals.  Malia Drumeller and Bailey Kilpatrick also had goals.  Ashlyn Spake had two assists.  Jessica Dunavant and Amber Gicker also had an assist.  

Hixson's Arielle Hutchinson had 12 saves.  

East Hamilton advances to play the winner of Sequatchie County and McMinn Central who play Wednesday.   That game will be played on Thursday.   

The Signal Mountain girls soccer team beat visiting Community High School 9-0 Tuesday night in a region soccer match.  The game was called in the 53rd minute due to the mercy rule.

Camilla Mincey had four goals for Signal.  Also scoring were Frances Buntain, Ashley Grace Buttram, Kennedy Ethridge, Ainsley Lane and Lilly Whitney.  

CSAS ended their season at Cascade 4-0.   Signal will travel to Cascade on Thursday to play for the region championship.   Both teams will advance to sectionals on Saturday.
