Maurice Flanigan is charged with three counts of burglary and three counts of theft of property.

Police said he was caught by the apartment complex's courtesy office who also works for the Red Bank Police Department.

He was also taken into custody on several warrants for break-ins to several vehicles earlier in North Chattanooga.

It was found that Flanigan had broken into 15 vehicles at Signal View Apartments before the officer  stopped him.

Items found with him included a pistol, electronic items, gift cards, credit cards, and several pill bottles.

Police located three victims who said some of the items belonged to them. Those items were returned.
