Hinck’s Fanfare For Rosa With The Chattanooga Symphony Is Oct. 25

  • Wednesday, October 17, 2018

Tim Hinck’s Fanfare for Rosa: A New Citizen will premiere with the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera under the direction of Kayoko Dan on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the Tivoli Theatre.

Commissioned by Maestro Dan for the Symphony’s 2018-19 Masterworks Series, Mr. Hinck’s fanfare explores the experience of young immigrants in the United States.

As the son of immigrants, Mr. Hinck’s resonance with the plight of the “Dreamers” led him to have conversations with local children and families who have experienced fleeing their homes to come to this country. This fanfare celebrates the hope of the young “dreamers” to build a better life for themselves, and in turn to become leaders in this country that can become even greater than it is.

Tickets are $15-$56 and available here
