Vivian Bankston
Vivian Lee Bankston, 63, a resident of Cleveland, went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 12, 2018, surrounded by her loving and devoted family, following an extended illness.
Vivian was born August 10, 1955, and she was the daughter of the late Emma Faye Berry Shepherd and Edward Freeman Shepherd. She was the Praise and Worship Leader at the Soaring Eagles Ministry Center. She loved music, singing and playing the piano. Vivian was a homemaker and a caregiver, most of all, she loved being a grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Bankston of Cleveland, her children, Roy Wood and his wife Amanda, Joshua Wood and his wife Samantha, Melody Perkins and her husband Philip, Jonathan Wood, her chosen daughter Casey Moss, her step children, Chris Bankston and his wife Daria, Christy Sadler, her 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, her three step grandchildren, one step great-grandchild, her five brothers, her two sisters, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Pastor Gertrude Osbourne and Pastor Jeanette Parsons officiating.
