Bohanon, Eula Mae Woodring (Chickamauga)

Eula Mae Woodring Bohanon, 95, of Chickamauga, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, October 19, 2018. She was born to the late Charlie Vertner and Donnie Malone Allison Woodring in Young Harris, Ga., moved to Chickamauga at a young age and was a member of Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church. Eula was the owner/operator, with her husband, of Bohanon’s Grocery and Circle B Angus Farm in Chickamauga. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed. 

Eula was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Bob Frank “Bo” Bohanon; and sisters, Neva Ellis, Nina Woodring, Belle Hunt and Genevieve Cannon. 

She is survived by her children, Ellen (Roland) Bohannon and Jeanne (Richard) Scoggins; sister, Juanita Houston; grandchildren, Chuck Bohannon, Leigh-Ann Guthrie, Trevor Scoggins, Elaine Kirkland, Betsy Sims and Amber Burns; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21 in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. David Kirkland and Rev. Zach Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in the Chickamauga City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until funeral time on Sunday.
