Frances Black
Frances N. Green Black, 91, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Francis Green and mother, Oma Hicks Green; husband, John Black; son, Edwin Taylor; and sisters, Esther Poi and Bonnie Lee.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Garry A Taylor (Faith); daughter, Glenda P. McGuirt (Thomas); brother, Claude Green; sisters, Kathleen Chang and Faye Sprowles (Cameron); grandchildren, Alan McGuirt (Kris), Andrea McGuirt, Aaron McGuirt (Dana); Garry Taylor, Jr. (Julie), Joy Taylor Smith (Mike); and William Taylor (Shana).
The family of Ms. Black would like to say a note of special thanks to Hickory Valley Retirement Center of Chattanooga and Life Care Centers of America in Ooltewah for demonstrating such loving care for their mom.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 22, at 12 p.m. CST/1 p.m. EST at Tate Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas McGuirt officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST/11 a.m. EST to 1 p.m. EST prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Garden.
