Correll, Lucy Inez Ford

Lucy Inez Ford Ensley Correll, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018, in a local health care facility.

She was born in Soddy, Tn. to Alton and Mary Kate Ford.  Lucy was a lifetime resident of the Chattanooga area. She was twice a widow, first to Edwin Ensley who served in the Marine Corp during WWII, and second to Don Correll who served in the Navy during the Korean War. She worked her way from secretary to property manager of the Twin Jaycee Towers over 30 years, where she touched countless lives working jigsaw puzzles in the grand lobby. A masterful cook, Lucy’s holiday meals won’t soon be forgotten by those privileged to enjoy them. She was a longtime member of Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison.

She was preceded in death by both her husbands and her only daughter, Claudia Lynette Myers, of her first marriage.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Noyle Jones, James Myers, Charity Myers, Susan Myers, and Stephen Myers; great-granddaughters, Isla Myers and Charlotte Myers; and son-in-law, Jimmy Myers.

Visitation is on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Grady Cooper as the eulogist.

 Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
