William Frazier
William Ronald Frazier, 91, a longtime resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on October 22, 2018.
He was born on Nov. 6, 1926, to the late William Clifford and Frances Hunsucker Frazier. William was a member of the local 43 Plumbers and steamfitters for 60 plus years. He was a faithful deacon at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. William loved working in his vegetable garden as well as tending to his yard. He was also a veteran of the United States Army, who worked in the Mortar Division.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Frazier and sister, JoAnn Frazier Atchley.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 72 years, Josephine Frazier; children: David Frazier (Marilyn), Benjamin Frazier (Janice), Sandy Frazier Ward; grandchildren: Stephanie Frazier, Michelle Haney (Carl), Andrew Frazier (Tracy), Heather Charles, Carmen Frazier Cartwright (Chris), great-grandchildren: Taylor Haney, Grant Charles, Ethan Frazier, Luke Haney, Faith Frazier, Camlyn Cartwright, Carlee Cartwright; great-grandchild, Emery Rose Haney; siblings: Peggy Frazier Duke (Bill), Tommy Frazier (Joy), Robert Frazier (Charlotte), and lifelong family friend, Glenda Johnson (Fred). In addition to these, he leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. following the visitation. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors.
