Buzzi Unicem USA – Chattanooga Plant Has Successful Annual Health And Safety Fair

  • Thursday, October 4, 2018

Buzzi Unicem USA – Chattanooga Plant held its annual Health and Safety Fair in September.

Over 90 employees and spouses were given access to 42 vendors representing local health professionals, fitness experts and the Hamilton County Health Department. Flu shots, skin cancer screenings, allergy testing, free physicals and much more were also available. Buzzi Unicem USA’s corporate HR and Benefit team were also on site to answer questions and give advice on how to get the most from their benefit package.

Most vendors had free samples, free services and products available in addition to over $4000 worth of door prizes supplied by the company’s generous business partners for employees. Healthy breakfast and lunch options with coffee bar were available free of charge to the employees as well as all of the vendors.

The goal of the fair was to promote a healthier lifestyle for the plant employees and their families, as well as making them aware of the services in the community to make that possible. It is without a doubt a goal that was not only met, but surpassed by leaps and bounds. Officials said, "Kudos must go out to event coordinator and planner Sandy Watkins for all of her hard work in making the fair a success."
