Delmon Joseph Robertson
Chattanooga Police have arrested the suspect in the shooting of 19-year-old Kevin Granados on Wednesday at
1042 Graysville Road.
Delmon Joseph Robertson, 18, is charged with attempted criminal homicide, especially aggravated robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The victim said he needed a ride to court in Alabama and he texted someone he knew from school named "Duke." He said he offered $50 for the ride and $50 for gas.
He said after Duke picked him up, he told him he needed to go back home to use the Wi-Fi. He said Duke pulled over in the parking lot of the Graysville Road address, produced a gun and demanded money while pointing the gun at his leg.
He said he thought the man was joking, but then he shot him in the leg. He said the man tried to go into his pockets, then they struggled over the gun. He said the former school mate got off another shot that hit his clothing in the groin area.
The victim said Duke yanked the gun from him and told him to get out. He said the man then left in a white Chevrolet Impala.
Police said Robertson was identified as a potential suspect, and the victim made a positive identification.
