A bulldozer driver at the Bradley County Landfill has been sentenced to serve 17 years in prison for shooting and killing a fugitive who wandered up on the landfill in 2016.

Mark Treuchet earlier was convicted of second-degree murder.

He testified that Jeremy Headley threatened him, while walking toward him cursing.

Headley and Daniel Warren had led police on a three-county chase. Warren was captured soon after the chase ended, but Headley initially got away.
