Morning Pointe Wears Pink For National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

  • Monday, October 8, 2018

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the residents and associates of Morning Pointe of Hixson donned their pink best and gathered for a photo to support those affected by breast cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the second most common cancer in American women, which means that many of the senior living community’s residents and associates have personally known someone who has had the disease—or are even survivors themselves.

“Morning Pointe of Hixson is happy to show their support [for those affected by breast cancer]!” said Christine Rivers, the Life Enrichment director at Morning Pointe of Hixson.

“Many of our residents and our [associates] have a dear place in their heart for [those affected by] breast cancer because they have had personal experience with the disease.”
