Timothy Mason
Timothy Lamar Mason, Sr., 47, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in a local hospital.
He graduated from Red Bank High School class of 1989 and continued his education at UTC. He was employed as a Blow Mold Operator with Coca Cola. Timothy was a member of Pneuma Christian Center International. He was head coach of the 11/12 year old CYA Chiefs, president of the Chattanooga Youth Association and vice president of River City Youth Football League.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nelson Mason.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Lakeisha Mason; sons, LaDarius Thomas and Timothy “TJ” Mason, Jr.; daughters, LaCondra Mason and ShanDextria Pitts; four grandchildren; mother, Diane Mason; brother, King (Karen) Mason and Nelson Mason, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Barbara Boddie of Mobile, AL, Phyllis Mayes of Decatur, AL, and Lola (Greg) Hudson of Chattanooga; a host of other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Sunday, Oct. 14, after 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Burial is Monday, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Pneuma Christian Center International with Dr. R.J. McCowan as the eulogist.
