Thomas Joe Jordan, Jr. (Bro), 76, of Chattanooga, was born on February 1, 1942, to Thomas Joe Jordan, Sr. and Annie Mildred (Thomas) Jordan. He passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at a local healthcare facility.
 
He started his career as a licensed barber at Renewal Barber Shop, then later opened Jordan’s Barber Shop, which he operated until he retired in 2010.
 
He married Virginia King on July 3, 1961. He was the father of 10 children, 29 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia King Jordan, son, Victor Jordan, and sister, Pearlie Mae Snow. He is survived by his children Demetris (James) Jones, Pamela Henderson, Tawanna (Sheldon) Marbury, Derrick (Taneka) Jordan, Valerie (Terry) Mitchell, Lorenzo Jordan, Kristy (Ron) Hill all of Chattanooga, Betty (Edward Sr.) Hickey of Atlanta, Ga., and Anthony (Shelia) Jelks of Ann Arbor, Michigan, brother-in-law Roland (Bertha) King, and a very devoted friend Robert “Duck” Jenkins,  grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
 
The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, Nov. 15, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, at New Covenant Fellowship Church. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
