The next meeting for Leadership Hamilton County Schools will be Tuesday, and the group will visit Red Bank High to learn more about Future Ready Institutes in Hamilton County Schools. The meeting at Red Bank High School will begin at approximately 10 a.m.
The group is the first class of Leadership Hamilton County Schools and involves 18 community leaders representing businesses, non-profits, government, and faith-based organizations in the community. Leadership Hamilton County Schools is a six-session program running through April that will allow participants to experience the people and programs in our area schools preparing children for success after graduation.
The Fall Teacher Recruitment Fair will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at East Ridge Elementary School. The event kicks off the hiring season for the school district. Principals will be at the event looking for potential new teachers for interim positions in schools for the spring and full-time teaching positions for next school year. Hamilton County employs over 3,500 certified teachers and anticipates hiring about 300 teachers for the 2019-2020 school year.
