37th Annual McCallie Invitational Wrestling Tournament Is This Weekend

Thirty wrestling teams from four states will converge on the McCallie School campus Friday and Saturday for the 37th Annual McCallie Invitational Wrestling Tournament.

The two-day event brings some of the top wrestling programs in the Southeast for top-notch competition and promises exciting and thrilling matches for those in attendance.

The Blue Tornado are the defending champion and have won the event nine times. Last year's McCallie team produced two champions - Alex Whitworth (126) and River Henry (285).

Participating schools include: Cleveland, Farragut, McCallie, Red Bank, Signal Mountain, and Soddy Daisy from Tennessee; Gardendale, Hewitt-Trussville, North Jackson, Oak Mountain, Scottsboro, and Vestavia Hills from Alabama; Armuchee, Carrollton, Chattooga, Dalton, East Coweta, Fannin County, Heritage, North Hall, Northwest Whitfield, Peachtree Ridge, Ridgeland, Ringgold, Sonoraville, Southeast Whitfield, West Laurens, and Woodland from Georgia and Hillcrest from South Carolina.

The action will be live streamed for free both days here: www.McCallie.org/Live. The championship finals will be streamed as the featured matches of the tournament with commentary beginning between 3:00 and 3:30 pm Saturday. All other action will be shown at wide angle without focusing on a specific mat. Admission prices and event schedule are listed below:
