Robert E. “Bobby” Wright, 77, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

Bob was born and raised in Knoxville, and later moved to Chattanooga where he made his home.

Bob graduated from Rule High School class of 1959 where he ran track and played football. He made several lifelong friends during his school days that have stayed close with him ever since.

He was a faithful member of Calvary Bible Church in Chattanooga. He sang in various quartets and barbershop quartets for years. He was a 3rd degree Mason.

Bob was a caregiver to anyone in need and his love and care for people will be greatly missed, especially by those who lived near him.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Rex and Willie Lewis and wife, Shirley Mitchell Wright.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Ray F. Lewis (Esther); nephews, Kevin Lewis (Lorie) and Kent Lewis (Kim);and special friend Shirley Black, all of Knoxville.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 1-3 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church, 4001 Mountain Creek Road, Chattanooga. The funeral will be at the church at 3 p.m. on Sunday with Pastor Bill Henry officiating.  He will be interred next to his beloved wife, Shirley at Chattanooga Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
