Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant in downtown Chattanooga has named Chattanooga native and industry veteran Foster Yates as its new general manager.

Mr.

Yates, who previously served as a manager at the restaurant, began his role as general manager at the start of 2018. The announcement follows the transition of the restaurant’s previous general manager, Max Stephenson, to a new role as director of information technology for the restaurant’s parent company, A. Marshall Hospitality.

“Foster has been with our Chattanooga team for more than a year now, and we have been consistently impressed with his drive, creativity and compassion,” said Claire Crowell, COO of A. Marshall Hospitality. “We are ready to see how he tackles this new opportunity, and we know that he’ll do great things in Chattanooga. ”

Mr. Yates, who has more than 18 years of experience in the restaurant industry, has lived in the Chattanooga area for most of his life and says that he is thrilled to be a member of this community.

“Taking on this role of general manager in my hometown is truly special for me. It allows me to be close to my family and have their support, as well as the support of the community as a whole,” Mr. Yates said. “I’m excited to keep finding new ways for Puckett’s to get involved, give back and continue growing our brand here in Chattanooga.”

As a kidney transplant recipient, Mr. Yates is a dedicated supporter of The Kidney Foundation of the Greater Chattanooga, along with other local organizations like the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Camp Big Fish.

Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant, at 2 W. Aquarium Way, is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
