George Price, Jr., a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018, in a local health care facility.

He was the son of the late George W. Price Sr. and Maggie L. Nease Price and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Carl and Henry Price.

Mr. Price was a veteran of the United States Navy, he retired from Fulmarque Industries and was a member of South Cleveland Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Price, his sons William Price of Charleston, Greg Price, his daughters Serethia Powers and Angela Whiteside all of Cleveland, grandchildren, Tabatha Womac, Joyce Clingan, Victoria Register, Jayson Powers, Maggie Whiteside, Ginger Whiteside and Autumn Price, 11 great-grandchildren, his brothers, Kenneth, Grover, John and Randall Price, his sister, Lucille Laguire, and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Avenue Chapel with Reverend Edwin Lipsey and Reverend Mark Williams officiating.

The interment will be held on Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. 



1 Person Killed In Accident Involving 18-Wheeler On Ochs Highway Saturday Morning

A person was killed Saturday morning on Ochs Highway in an accident with an 18-wheeler. The truck, coming down the mountain, hit three cars that were traveling up the mountain.
