Richard Eugene "Butch" Evans passed away on February 11, 2018. 

He was preceded in death by his father, John Evans.

Butch is survived by his mother, Freddie Deakins; sisters, Tammy Henegar and Lisa Danneman, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 4 p.m. Visitation will be from 3- p.m. prior to the service. Layspeaker Jayne Morgan will be officiating.

Leon Crowe, 75, of LaFayette, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018. In 1961, he co-founded the South Main Trim Shop with his late brother, Melvin, where the business was known to many as Crowe Brothers. Man And Woman Killed In Sunday Morning Shooting At Hixson Gas Station

A man and a woman were killed in a Sunday morning shooting at a gas station in Hixson. The shooting was shortly after 10 a.m. at a Shell station at Hixson Pike and Brookaire. The woman was dead at the scene. The man was rushed to a hospital, but died there. (click for more)
