Air National Guard Veteran Was Talented Guitarist

Howard Eugene Levi, 78, of East Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 14, in a local hospital.

He was a graduate of Central High School and was a veteran of the Air National Guard. Mr. Levi was a sound engineer with Crystal Recording Studio. A talented guitarist, he was with the VivaTones in the 1960s and played benefits for the 365 Club. 

Mr. Levi was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Howard Levi and Mildred Imogene Hall Levi.

Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Levi Jordan; son and wife, Jeremy and Keylee Levi; two granddaughters, Casey Parris and Stacy Pedigo; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (Ron) Duncan; nephew, Andy Duncan.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Jeremy Levi officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. on Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, Tn.
