Three Bradley Central High School students have been arrested for allegedly making threats about a school shooting.

Officials said, "Last evening, the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a rumored social media threat that involved a future shooting at Bradley Central High School. After investigation, the sheriff’s office determined the rumored threat non-existent.

"However at approximately 10 a.m., Sheriff Watson along with School Resource Officer Robbie Hair was made aware of a separate threat which has led to the arrest of three juveniles.

"After talking with multiple witnesses, three juveniles have been arrested for verbally making statements to performa school shooting. Those students have been transported to Bradley County Juvenile Center and are now awaiting a court appearance."

Sheriff Eric Watson stated, “The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office investigates all threats and will not tolerate any threats towards our kids, schools, and this community - even if the threat was said as a joke. Our agency expresses our appreciation to the students who came forward with the information that led to the arrests of those responsible for making the threatening statements.”
