Joseph Willard Dalton, 91, 0f Jasper, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, February, 14, 2018 in a hospital in Chattanooga.
The son of the late Jack and Bertha Dalton, he was a member of the Church of Christ in Jasper. He was retired from Wheland Foundry and a life long farmer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Mae Dalton; brothers, Cecil Dalton, Vernon Dalton and Carl Dalton; and sisters, Pearl Dalton and Mary Lou Nelson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Judy (Walter) McClain of Jasper, and Darrell (Mildred) Dalton of Jasper; step-children, Sandra Quarles of Wilmington, N.C. and John (Wanda) Sharp of Jasper; brother, Kenneth (Della) Dalton of Whitwell; sister, Barbra Belk of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Kathy Smallwood of Whitwell, Melissa Dalton of South Pittsburg, Chris (Tonya) McClain of Jasper, Craig (Samantha) McClain of Jasper; step-grandchildren, Sonya (Brent) VanRees of Baltimore, Md., Sabra (Steve) Sutherland of Wilmington, N.C., Sheila (Shane) Lippard of Wilmington, N.C., Karen (Kevin) Brown of Stevenson, Al. and Leanne (Eddie) Rodgers of Hixson; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 16, from 4-8 p.m. CST.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m. CST with Bruce Leonard and Jimmy Holtzclaw officiating.
Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
