CCS, Notre Dame Knocked Into Division II Region Consolations

In Division II region tournament action on Friday at Notre Dame, the Chattanooga area teams did not fare well.  

In girls semifinals, Knox Webb beat CCS 57-29 and CAK beat Notre Dame 53-15 setting up rematches in district championships with Knox Webb taking on CAK and CCS facing off with Notre Dame.  

The boys semifinals went the same way with CCS losing to Knox Webb 72-60 and Knox Grace beating Notre Dame 49-32.  CCS will play Notre Dame in the consolation game and Knox Grace will face off with Knox Webb.

Cleveland State Places 3rd At Freed Speed Open

The Cleveland State Community College Cross Country teams competed at the Freed Speed Open this past weekend in Henderson, TN. Heavy rains throughout Monday brought water over many Hamilton County roads and into some businesses. The front area of the Mapco in the 8100 block of Standifer Gap Road was a small lake.
