District 6-AA Semifinals Set For Saturday

Five area schools will be represented on Saturday in the District 6-AA semifinals hosted at Howard High School. 

In girls action, Red Bank will take on Brainerd in the first game of the afternoon. Top seeded Signal Mountain will take on Tyner in the other girls semifinal. 

On the boys side, Signal Mountain will play Red Bank and Tyner will play Howard.   Consolation games will take place on Monday at Howard and the championships on Tuesday

Red Bank girls vs Brainerd 3 p.m. 
Signal Mountain boys vs Red Bank 4:30 p.m.
Signal Mountian girls vs Tyner 6 p.m.
Tyner boys vs Howard 7:30 p.m.

Cleveland State Places 3rd At Freed Speed Open

The Cleveland State Community College Cross Country teams competed at the Freed Speed Open this past weekend in Henderson, TN. The weather was not kind, as major rain and thunder rolled in  on Friday . Heavy rains throughout Monday brought water over many Hamilton County roads and into some businesses. The front area of the Mapco in the 8100 block of Standifer Gap Road was a small lake.
