The Georgia Northwestern Bobcats hung tough over the final 30 minutes of play at Welch College on Friday night.

However, it was a nightmarish first 10 minutes that ultimately cost the visitors in a 90-75 loss.

Georgia Northwestern committed 10 turnovers in the game's first 10 minutes and found themselves trailing 23-8 early.

Despite shooting 44 percent for the game and 53 percent in the second half, it was a hole that the Bobcats never dug out of.

The Navy-and-Silver enjoyed balanced scoring in spite of the outcome. J.T. Langford led the way with 16 points, going 10-of-11 at the free throw line. Daniel Parrish, Tyler Phillips and Jay Wideman had 10 points each, followed by nine from Davantae Kimble and eight apiece from Cole McKeehan and Traydal Autry. Justin Smith rounded out the scoring with four points.

Chris Simon paced the Flames with 18 points.

Georgia Northwestern (4-18) will close out the 2017-2018 season on Friday as they play host to Georgia Gwinnett College at 8 p.m. The Lady Bobcats will take on GGC in the night's first game at 6 at the Rossville Athletic Center.
