Patricia Jean “Tricia” Holder, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died peacefully on Saturday, February 17, surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 4, 1952 in Long Island, NY, to Jack L. and Eugenia Pyle. Tricia and her family moved to Chattanooga when she was nine years old. She was a graduate of Central High School where she was the head cheerleader.

Tricia was the office manager at DerKel, LLC a company she and her husband started 40+ years ago. She was a long time member of Manker Patten Tennis Club where she served on the board and was a two-time city closed singles champion. Among several area charities Tricia served, she was past-president of the Siskin Foundation Auxiliary. She was a member First Centenary United Methodist Church.

Tricia will first and foremost be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was involved in every school activity possible for her two children, Derrick and Kelli while being Derrick’s caregiver for 44 years who was born with Spina Bifida. Mostly recently “Tia” was known as a fun loving grandmother who would play most anything with her 3 boys. Undoubtedly, anyone who came in contact with Tricia loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Jean Pyle, brother Scott Pyle and son Derrick.

She is survived by her husband and best friend of 47 years Richard (Ricky) Holder, her daughter Kelli (Jay) and grandson’s Jack, Holder and Patrick Donnelly.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Service for Patricia will follow at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the North Chapel.  Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. 505 S Moore Rd, Chattanooga, Tn. 37412.
