James Harris
James Martin Harris Jr. 83, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born on June 18, 1934, to the late James Martin Harris, Sr. and Emma Brown Harris.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ruth Ann Cox Harris, daughters, Margaret (Rodney) Plunket of Germantown, Tn., Martha (Guy) Patterson of Franklin, Tn., Beth (John) Harris Adamick of Knoxville, Tn., four grandchildren, Callie (Vince) Plunket Brewton, Chad (Lindsey) Plunket, Reid (Amanda) Patterson, Erin (Carter) Ivey, 6 great-grandchildren, Merrie Margaret, Alec, and Patrick Brewton, Logan and Sawyer Plunket, and Adalyn Patterson, brother Richard (Margaret) Harris, sister, Dorothy Haldiman, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow the service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
