James Robert Baldwin
James Robert Baldwin, known as "Robbi,” died on Monday, February 19, 2018. He was 46.
James was born Oct. 20, 1971, at Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, Il. He was a 1991 graduate of Brainerd High School.
James was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Usher and Ruby Overton and his aunt, Marilynn "Honeybunch" Baldwin.
He is survived by his loving parents, James and Linda Baldwin, Jr. and brother, Jonathan DeShawn Baldwin of Chattanooga; beloved nieces, Asha Marie Larson-Baldwin and Mia DeShawn Larson-Baldwin of Greenville, S.C.; maternal grandparents, Robert and Bertha Hughes; paternal grandmother, Doris Overton Truss; paternal grandfather, James E. (Lorene) Baldwin, Sr., all of Chattanooga; aunts, Brenda (Harvey) Daniels of Atlanta; Bernice Hughes, Chattanooga; Pamela Hughes of Huntsville; Miriam (Jeff) Kates, Scottsdale, Az.; Iris Baldwin Hamilton, Atlanta; Robin (Tyrone) Sampson, Boston; uncles, Peter (Gayle) Truss and Ralph Truss of Chattanooga; cousins, Angel (Richard) Moore, of Chattanooga; Jennifer Marshall, Duane (Mignon) Hamilton, Marilyn Bonita Hamilton, Harvey (Rosalynn) Daniels, III, Atlanta; and Michael Kendrick of Chattanooga; along with many extended family members, a host of wonderful friends and his loyal dog "Chalca Kahn."
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at Greater Tucker Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Hathaway officiating. Interment will be Monday, Feb. 26, at 10 a.m. at Lakewood Memory Gardens- East.
