Dorothy Long Pedigo, 89, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, surrounded by her loving children.   

Dorothy was born in Hillsboro, Tn., to the late John and Anna Wooten Long. She was a faithful member of Tyner Church of Christ. She was proud to be a telephone operator with Southern Bell before becoming a homemaker.   

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Monroe Pedigo, infant daughter, Deana.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She always made a point to remember other people’s special days. 

Dorothy is survived by her children, Roger Pedigo, David Pedigo and Janet Fuller Jones and husband, Dennis; three grandchildren, Jordan Fuller and wife Ashleigh, Micah and Caleb Fuller; sister, Elsie Washington; sister-in-law, Irene Long; many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, and 12-1 p.m. on Friday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life service for Dorothy will follow at 1 p.m. on Friday at the North Chapel.  Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tyner Church of Christ, 6620 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421 or to your favorite charity. 

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
