Ellis, Ava Cherie (Cleveland)

Ava Cherie Ellis, passed away at her home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. She went home to be with Jesus whom she loved very much.

Ava loved going to Church. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her loved ones, including her mother, Barbara Ellis, CNA, Debbie Waters, Debbie's fiancé' Larry McGill and their daughter Tina McDougal, CNA Rhonda Moonyham and R. N. Karen West.

Ava was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Albert Dee Ellis, her mother, Betty Martin Ellis, her grandparents, Asbury and Emeline Ellis, her very dear MawMaw, Katherine Clingan whom she loved so much and her sister, Eva Woody. Debbie Waters was he special caregiver and friends for five years. Ava loved Debbie and looked forward to seeing her and Tina every day. Debbie and Ava developed a special bond. Rhonda Moonyham was another special caregiver of Ava's for 1 year. Amedysis Hospice of Chattanooga was so important to all of her family. They were like family. Ava loved her special nurse Karen West. The family also appreciate Marcie, Social Worker and Marilyn Chaplain. The Family Home Care helped on the weekends. Ava loved all of them very much. Other special friends include Renate and Mack Hatmaker, Sandra Prock, Crystal Fox, Marshall Radford and many, many more. 

Survivors include her caring and loving mother, Barbara Ellis who adored her and took care of her for 22 years, her brother-in-law, Dwayne Woody, her uncles and aunts, Reverend Alvin and Hazel Ellis, Peggy and Peyton Jamerson and several cousins also survive.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Bill Fox and Brother Tim Prock officiating.

Graveside services and interment will be conducted on Monday, Feb. 26, at the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dwayne Woody, Marshall Radford, Lynn Ellis, Tim and Keith Prock and Dusty Brown serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends from 2-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
