Evans, "Mama" Sue Rebecca Hiatt (Chickamauga)

“Mama” Sue Rebecca Hiatt Evans, 82, of Chickamauga, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. She was born to the late Ohlen and Catherine Bradley Hiatt in Chattanooga, was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and was a charter member of Elizabeth Lee United Methodist Church. Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed.

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond F. Evans; and brother, Joe Henry Hiatt.

Sue is survived by her children, Helen (James) Richardson, David (Sheree) Evans, Susie Evans, Becky Evans, Bobby (Sheila) Evans and Kenny (Sheila Thomas) Evans, all of Chickamauga; “sister”: Joan Winkler of Flintsone; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 in the funeral home chapel, with Min. Mark Millican and Min. Chris O’Neal officiating. A private family internment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and prior to the service on Saturday.
