Harold Lee Beaver, 85, of Falling Water Community, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018.

Harold was born in Knoxville, to the late Homer and Elsie Beaver.  He served our country in the United States Navy and retired in 1974 as a Lieutenant.  Harold received a master’s degree from UTC in Special Education.  He taught in the Hamilton County School System and retired after 18 years of service.  After his retirement he continued to work with troubled children.  Harold was a faithful man and a member of Falling Water Baptist Church. 

One of his favorite times was the two weeks that he spent with his family in the Smoky Mountains every year.  His Lord and family was his pride and joy. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Beaver; siblings, Dorothy Johnson, Charles “Bud” Beavers, Tom Beaver and Jerry Beaver.      

Harold is survived by his children, Bonnie (David) Renfro and Keith (Lori) Beaver; grandchildren, Matt (Amy) Renfro, Kellie Renfro, Harold Lee Beaver, Betty Jo (Chuck) Snow and Katelyn Rhodes; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Patsy Moore; many nieces and nephews; a special daughter, Tina Carpenter. 

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, and 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Services for Harold will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at the North Chapel.  Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any organization that helps the veterans or disabled veterans. 

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
