Lawrence G. Self, age 77, of Tunnel Hill, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Hamilton Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Earlene Self; parents, Henry and Catherine Self; two sisters, Alice and Charlotte Self; and one brother, Frank Self.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Jan Watkins, Stan and Patti Watkins, all of Tunnel Hill; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Gene Vess, Wilma and James Riddle all of Ringgold; two brothers and sister-in-law, Tommy and Pat Self of Dalton and Donald Self of Ringgold; four grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and David Gates, Greta and Mark Beckler, Leslie Talley, and Drew Watkins; and ten great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Burdette, Rev. Sam Dillard and Rev. Don Self officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Valley cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
