Callie Belle Farmer Swaney, 72, of Ringgold, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, she was a member of Everlasting Covenant Church in Tunnel Hill.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ennis “Bobby” Robert Swaney; parents, Wallace Taft and Margaret Elizabeth Gordy Farmer; daughter, Brenda Dempsey; sister, Dora Marie Brock; and brother, Junior Farmer.
She is survived by three children, April Bairdain of Suffolk, Va., Steve (Deanna) Swaney of Chickamauga and Earick Swaney of Ringgold; sister, Jennie (Steve) Gordy of Ooltewah; two brothers, Raymond (Ann) Farmer of Trion and Robert Farmer of Ringgold; brother-in-law, Rodney Crowe of Ringgold; sister-in-law, Margaret Swaney of Butler, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Feb. 5 in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at the funeral home.
