Bobby Wood Files For GOP State Executive Committee

  • Tuesday, February 6, 2018
Former state representative and County GOP Chairman Bobby Wood filed his nominating petition on Monday for re-election to the GOP State Executive Committee.
Former Rep.
Wood said, "I have
dedicated nearly half of my life to helping build a better Tennessee and Republican Party  - having served in the Legislature, as County GOP Chairman and on the State Executive Committee."
He noted that the State Executive Committee is comprised of 33 men and 33 women whose function is to monitor the operation in each of Tennessee’s 95 counties, and to help find and recruit capable and effective candidates for office. The Executive Committee seeks to help develop uniform by laws in each county and assist with their reorganization to assure continuous effective functioning.
He said, "It is a demanding task requiring maturity,  experience and a willingness to sacrifice time and resources. It has truly been a privilege being allowed to serve in each of these capacities in the past and now I am asking you for the opportunity in August to serve  you once again.  We have accomplished much together, and this coming election year will be the most demanding and offer the greatest opportunities of any in the past."
