Person Stabbed On West 12th Street Court Early Wednesday Morning

The Chattanooga Police Department responded to a person stabbed at a residence in the 700 block of West 12th Street Court on Wednesday at 4:55 a.m. in the 700 block of West 12th Street Court.

Upon arrival, police located the victim who was suffering from a single stab wound. HCEMS responded and transported the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Responding officers secured the crime scene and notified Violent Crimes Bureau investigators. 

A person of interest was detained and interviewed. Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are actively investigating this incident and following all actionable leads.

The victim's name is being withheld due to safety concerns.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423-698-2525.  The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
