Smalley, Mike (LaFayette)

  • Thursday, February 8, 2018

Mike Smalley, a cowboy, farrier, rodeo clown and veteran, passed peacefully in his sleep at his residence on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin David "Shorty" Smalley and Ida Belle Fletcher Smalley and an infant sibling, Ruth.

He was beloved father to Carma Kay Smalley Ellison and Brandy Lee Smalley.  Other relatives include his grandchildren, a great granddaughter, his brothers, and dear cousin.  His animals were a tremendous part of his life, and he is also survived by two dogs, Mattie, and  Miss "e", and two horses, Moe and Charlie.

We love and miss you so much!  God needed a clown for the rodeo and a farrier for the herd, so he had to call you home.  We know your entry fees are paid and you are now a contestant at that Big Rodeo in the Sky!

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
