James "Rob" Owens, 77, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2018. 

Rob was a member of Pine Sett Baptist Church and a retired member of Local 917 Operating Engineers and was retired from Ever Heart Steel Construction. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Owens and Janie Bell Bible; son, James “Dickie” Owens Jr.; son-in-law, Charles T. “Whistle” Wilson; brothers, Kenneth Owens and Oscar Owens David Owens; and sisters, Rebecca Cagle, Emma Jane Anderson and Mary White. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Debra (Kenneth) Wilson Green and Carol Owens; sister, Rose Dawson; grandchildren, Samantha (Sean) Wakefield, Scott (Kirstie) Wilson, Tyler Walker, Matthew May, Alyson (Ryan) Smith and Hanna Leamon; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 9, from 2-8 p.m. CST. 

Funeral services will be conducted from the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. CST with Bro. Eddie Meeks officiating. 

Interment will follow at Gilliam Cemetery.
