Army Veteran Was Longtime Boilermaker With Local 454

Charles P. Park, of Ooltewah, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, February 8, 2018.  He had turned 69 the day before.  

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Fred B. and Patricia Criswell Park.  

He is survived by his brother John and wife Nancy of Lexington, KY as well as numerous cousins.

He was a 1967 graduate of Tyner High School and served in the Army, 3rd Armored Division. After returning to Chattanooga, Charles completed boilermaker training and spent the remainder of his working years as a boilermaker working out of the Local 454.

Per Charles' request, there will be no visitation.  

Graveside services will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb.13. The Boiler Hogs will provide escort and serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 7555 Ooltewah-Georgetown Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363, or the Veteran’s association of your choice.
