A home on Ooltewah/Georgetown Road was damaged by fire on Friday afternoon.
The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department battled the house fire beginning at 3:30 pm.
Several 911 calls were made around 3:15 p,m, reporting a garage fire at 6410 Ooltewah/Georgetown Road.
The Tri-Community VFD responded and arrived on the scene reporting 35 percent of the home was on fire. Once firefighters confirmed no one was in the house, they conducted an interior attack to get the fire under control.
Tri-Community fire officials reported no one was home and the fire started in the garage.
No injuries were reported, but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to the firefighters.
Damages are listed at $150,000.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Tri-Community VFD and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
