Jerry Lynn Monday Horner passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018.

Jerry believed in God, volunteer work, sending thank you notes, keeping things neat, balancing your checkbook, and taking care of your car. She suffered zero fools. Jerry was a tomboy all of her life, when it wasn't considered proper. As an adult Jerry loved to blow the society women of Signal Mountain off the tennis courts with her punishing serve, and played shortstop for the coed softball team. She racked up more trophies than all male Horners combined. Jerry mentored hundreds throughout her life. As HR director at Miller Industries she took care of "her guys.” She taught Cambodian children to speak English, and taught Sunday school kids to love Jesus. She helped battered women to leave their husbands, and drunks to leave their booze.  She helped everyone she could.

Jerry leaves behind her sisters, Janice Monday Myers and Jackie Monday Smartt; her son, Brad and his wife,  Cyndi Horner; her son Michael and his wife, Dr. Kristen Horner; her grandchildren, Bradley, Bailey, Brinley and Hadley; and Dr. Charles Mitchell.

Join us as we celebrate Jerry on Sunday, March 11, between 2 and 3 p.m., at Ooltewah Lodge No. 741, 9295 Lodge Ln, Ooltewah, Tn. Take exit 11 off of I-75.
