John H. Jenkins, 80, of Rossville, died Monday, March 12, 2018, in a local hospital.  He was a deacon and member of Del Ray Baptist Church, and was the founder of Jenkins Buffet in 1992.

He is survived by two daughters:  Linda Gail Newman, Ringgold and Teresa Sugerik, Ft. Oglethorpe; six grandchildren, Jason Jenkins, Steve Thurman, Jr., Terra Sparks, Phil Byas, Melissa Lowery, and Johnna Daugherty, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Andrew Plisko officiating.  Entombment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
