The Red Bank Lionettes won two games on the first day of the Tiger Classic softball tournament, hosted by Meigs County in Athens.

Hannah Wood was the winning pitcher in both games, which included a 10-7 victory over King's Academy and then a much closer 5-4 verdict against McMinn County.

Wood and Sami Shrader both homered and collected three RBIs each in that first win while Shelby Romans and Zoe Helms both had two hits.

Wood came on in relief of Bailee Phillips after the Lady Cherokees had taken a 3-1 lead in the first inning.  Lexie Wright homered in the second game and had three RBIs while Shrader had three hits and two runs batted in.

Red Bank scored the winning runs by scoring four times in the fourth.

Casey Stewart, Layla Babb and Phillips all had two hits apiece in that second game.
