A Darlington, S.C. man has been arrested and brought back to Chattanooga after a Signal Mountain woman said her identity was stolen and over $27,000 in bills were rung up.

Jason Rashaad Jones, 36, was charged with criminal conspiracy, criminal impersonation, identity theft, forgery, theft of property and computer offenses.

The victim filed a report with the Signal Mountain Police Department on Jan 15.

She said someone had gained access to her credit card and then used her personal information to fill out 24 credit card applications in her name.

Purchases were made in her name totaling $27,147.59.

One of the charges was a condo rental in the Myrtlewood Villas at Myrtle Beach, S.C. Police were told the name on the lease was Ashley Williams. She used Facebook to check in at the condo.

The phone number she gave was listed on a Facebook profile belonging to Love Jones, who was later identified as Jason Rashaad Jones.

Jones indicated he was at the condo with Sharina Pugh and Marie Dior, who was identified as Ashley Williams.

Police said all three live in the Darlington area, where several of the charges were made. Police there were familiar with all three.

The two women face similar charges.
