Connie Denise Stephens Vaughn, 53, of Ft. Oglethorpe, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 23, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was of the Free Holiness faith. Connie retired in 2016 as a caregiver, after more than 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Hussie Stephens; sister, Karen Sharp; and brother, Randall Stephens.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 23 years, Blake Vaughn; children, Amanda (Jason) Drew, Alex (Karah) Vaughn and Janel Martin; sisters, Kathy Stephens and Becky Thomas; brother, Michael Stephens; grandchildren, Lexi and Logan; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 26 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Dean Smitherman and Chris Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, all day on Sunday and prior to the service on Monday.
