In a road high school boys' lacrosse game, the Soddy Daisy Trojans shutout the Roane County Knights 25-0 in Rockwood, Tennessee on Saturday. The Trojans built a 20-goal lead by halftime and coasted the rest of the way.
The undefeated Trojans (7-0) extended its winning streak to 10 games going back to last season and have also won 12-of-their-last-13 games. Eleven different players scored in the total team effort.
Attackman Blake Morrow led all scorers with 6 goals. Brandon Hale collected a team high 9 groundballs and Nate Schofield won 19-of-22 faceoffs. Goalies Justin Kaulfuss and Noah Ferrell combined to hold the Knights (0-5) scoreless. It is the third shutout by the Trojans this season.
The Trojans have been ranked No. 1 for the past two weeks in Laxpower.com's rankings for Tennessee Club Division 2. Soddy Daisy's next game is home versus cross-town-rival Signal Mountain on March 29.
