Officials at the Silverdale Detention Facility said Sunday afternoon that the unit involved in a fight on Saturday night remains in a lockdown. Earlier the entire center was on lockdown.
Inmates in the unit where the incident took place will remain in their cells with limited, escorted movement until further notice, it was stated.
All inmates who were transported off site for medical care have returned, officials said. Three inmates were injured in the fight. Two of those were taken to a medical facility.
Officials said, "The facility is working to ensure the safest environment exists prior to removing the unit lockdown and will be working with Hamilton County Sheriff's department with the continued investigation."
The inmate-on-inmate altercation happened around 9 p.m. Saturday.
While on lockdown, all inmates are confined to their cells with escorted movement only, officials of CoreCivic said.
