Walker County Escapees Are Apprehended In Chattanooga

Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson announced that the two male inmates and their female accomplice were apprehended on 14th Avenue in Chattanooga shortly after noon on Thursday.
 
The three were taken into custody by the Chattanooga Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and the United States Marshals.
 
Sheriff Wilson expressed his appreciation to the law enforcement agencies who responded to the request for assistance, including Walker County detectives and deputy sheriffs.
 
Michelle Walters, 48, was charged with aiding escape.
Nicky Shell, 38, was charged with escape. David Watson, 48, was charged with escape.
 
All three have been transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

 

The three fugitives were located in an attic at a residence in Hamilton County by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (FAST) and the United States Marshal Service. 

 

Nicky Shell also has outstanding warrants in Hamilton County for aggravated burglary, possession of burglary tools, burglary and evading arrest.

 

Shell will be held in the Hamilton County Jail until he has satisfied the Courts on his Criminal Court charges and will have an extradition hearing once complete.

 

Walker County plans to extradite David Watson, Nicky Shell and Michelle Walters to answer to the court for their charges.
